Objective

The education system now prevailing is only a mechanism to enable people to earn incomes. The people have lost their sensibilities and social responsibilities and developed tendencies and attitudes that are unbecoming of a man.

Surrendra Paul was a man of unique personality. He graduated from MIT and was highly impressed by the principles of Swami Vivekanand. Unfortunately, he met a precocious death. To commemorate him, this institute was established. To spread the light of knowledge in the most backward region of India, SURENDRAPAUL Gramodaya Vidyalaya was started in the year 1992 at Chitrakoot. It is a residential cum day school imparting education from LKG to 12th class through medium of Hindi as per the prescribed syllabi of MP Govt. Apart from the above syllabi the students are trained in moral sciences, General Knowledge, Gardening, Music, Arts and Sports.

To establish the economic viability of indigenous cattle in society.
To conserve the Indigenous breeds by in-suite method.
To maintain the cow population at farmer’s door with enhance potentiality by providing pure high potential tested (on the bases of reproductive, productive and physical traits ) bulls for breeding.
To develop the replicable model of sustainable Gaushala.

Achivements

A student of 12th standard, Gyanedra Patel secured first position in Chitrakoot region by Securing 88.7% marks and Nainsi Barasiyai of 10th achieved 83% marks.
A student named Arvind pal of agriculture stream captured first rank in district merit list winning the award of 10 thousand Rupees.
Seven students of sr. age group and four students of junior group and three belonging to mini group participated in swimming competition at region level by clearing dist. level competition.
20 cadets of Junior division N.C.C. participated in the C.A.T.C. camp held at Saugor group head quarter and got first position in the maintenance of discipline and line layout.
Mrityunjay Singh, 12th science was awarded 'A Grade by the commanding officer of 3MP Battalion Rewa in 'C Certificate Examination' of N.C.C..
Eight students of our school were selected to participate in different events of games and sports at state level in three events wrestling, Basket ball and Discus.
Inter school tournament organised successfully in school campus.
One N.C.C. cadet Aparna shukla was selected for Pre R.D.C.
Distance education is also being imparted to the students of rural areas who can not study regularly . Such students are also working wonders in different fields of society. One student named Arimardan Singh got selected in co-operative sector and Amritlal Gupta was taken in engineering sector and they are doing well in their respective areas.
